@kchuk It is unusual, isn't it! I found it in a wonderful tropical garden at the Smithsonian that I simply love to visit. I've gone in the evening and never noticed these hibiscus because I think they had furled up by the time I arrived. On this day, I visited earlier and found them in glorious bloom.
