Swelling buds on the Chanticleer Pear tree. It's an ornamental that doesn't produce fruit, but has beautiful white flowers when the buds don't freeze. Unfortunately, it's also the earliest blossoming of the ornamental trees which means we haven't had any blossoms the last couple of years. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to post a picture of it in its full glory, but it seems like we always have at least one severe freeze in late March or early April.
