Little House on the Prairie

This little house sits in the middle of fields that are still being planted. There is farm machinery old and new out of sight behind it. While I was imagining the pioneer family that built it, I noticed the one thing that tells me they moved more recently than the condition of the house might indicate. Can you spot it?
I'm intrigued by your comment and have searched the picture...is it a tap or faucet in one of the windows?

Amazing picture. My father at one time knew the family that lived there. A clue is after 1956 for the house to be abandoned.

I think it is the TV antenna attached to the top of that wire tower.

Carolyn caught the reference. I was thinking pioneers until I spotted the antenna. The house is surrounded by yellow shrub roses, which was what I photographed first. The tower was probably what is called locally a wind charger or small wind generator to provide power for something. Frequently used to pump water for livestock. Might have provided power for the house until power lines were strung.
