Alligator Gar by khrunner

Alligator Gar

One last posting from the Walter Anderson Museum. This is his painting of an alligator gar. It hangs in a frame, and it was only when I started to look at the photo closely that I noticed it is painted on 3 pieces of paper and joined together. He usually painted on paper and often in an artist's notebook.
Awesome picture.

I like the painting and quite clever to do it on three pieces of paper first.

I wonder how he did it...individually and then put them together our did he put the paper together like that and begin painting. very interesting.

@agedrunner @kwind @quietpurplehaze @vickisfotos @taffy @tremerryn @petalbox Thank you all very much! I was familiar with Anderson's work, and it was a treat to visit the museum again. Hadn't been to Ocean Springs in some years. We were on the Coast to deal with some family and business issues, but took a day to play tourist.
