Dead Man's Penny

In memory of my great-uncle for Remembrance Day today. These were given to the families of soldiers who died in the First World War.
Wow what a great tribute to your great-uncle Kim still to have it in the family is wonderful, the Death Penny named because of its resemblance to the coin made from bronze. was recieved by the family of a British soldier who was killed at the battle of the Somme no rank is stated because there was no distinction made between the sacrifice of individuals, my granddads brother John Coulson was killed in the first charge over the top on 1st July 1916, Lest we forget:)
