Tiny Shoes

A visit downtown to the BC Legislature building to see the memorial to the Indigenous children who died at the residential schools. Hundreds of tiny shoes representing the many hundreds of little ones who were murdered or died of diseases and never made it home to their families. At each end there are painted rocks and crosses on top of orange shirts that say "Every Child Matters".

@pcoulson Thanks, Peter. It's pretty upsetting that this went on for so long and we (non-Indigenous people) were not told about it. Now that it's out in the open more people are becoming allies with the Indigenous peoples and speaking out about it.
