@kipper1951 is a lovely photo, yesterday I started with a new camera , Nikon D3100 and want to learn in manual mode to learn how to set everything up for a shot, well it was like starting all over again compared to my old camera. you gave me inspiration on your photo to practice on a flower, after quite a few shots I got a decent pic, so was lovely to see your capture.
me again lol I was wondering how people get nice soft back grounds and your capture also has this, is it hard to do? :) be a lovely to follow your journey of the shots your doing.
@lovingandsharing Shooting with a wide aperture will give you a blurred back ground and bokeh. This shot was at 5.6 but I made sure that there was some distance between the subject and whatever was in the background to make sure there was not anything else that would be distinctive. Keep up with manual mode takes a bit of practice but gives you a little more control as what you wish to see in your compositions. I am by no means an expert but enjoy trying things some turn out well some don't, but that's why we do this, I suppose, when it comes off it is the most pleasing thing:)
