Today we went huckleberry picking with the kids. The huckleberries have only just come out; they are very late this year. The kids loved the hike in the woods and searching for the berries, it was hard to drag them away.
I never knew that there were such things as huckleberries! I just thought it was a name made up for the book... Shows you what I know! Lovely shot of the berry collecting in progress.
@shortperson2002@giselle@4stories It was a great way to spend the day, the kids love it and get their fill of berries. @canberrabec We're in the perfect spot, there is so much to do here outdoors. It suits us well and the kids love it too. @alia_801 I had never tried huckleberries until I moved here either. They are quite small and grow low to the ground. Perfect for little kids but not so great for grownups!
