Funny though, cos' I couldn't even remember my password it's been that long since I've been on here! anyway the comment:
Love the colours, love the subject, but not mad on the crop... and this is more because I see you mention this one for your portfolio... personally I would turn this into a Panorama Crop. Without having exact ratio's at hand, I'd just say to wipe out the whiter sand at bottom of the image completely... whilst still keeping the medium sized rocky outcrop still in the image...

@wadey Thanks for stopping by. I do agree the bottom doesn't add anything but I was trying to keep all my crops the same. Also my tutor is a stickler for the rule of thirds for the horizon line. On this one I'm already off so I could get the little island in, so that is why I have included so much sand at the bottom. As it was I only got a B for my portfolio which was pretty average and one of my lowest marks all term :(
