This morning I went along to my daughters kindergarten class for the second session of PALS (Parents as Literacy Supporters). PALS is a family literacy program that gives parents and caregivers new strategies to encourage learning in their preschool and kindergarten-aged children. It was lots of fun for the kids (and parents) as we helped them at 4 different learning centers.
i used to teach Kindergarten and I know how excited the children used to get when parents stayed for class with them.
