What a fun morning for these kids. This was one of the 7 centers that they rotated around. Safety glass, gloves and hammers, they loved it!! Other centers included a Pumpkin sweeping Relay, Pumpkin Hoola Hoop Toss, Green Slime with spiders and eyeballs, Spiderweb Chalking Craft, Make a mummy Craft, Orange Playdoh, Spider Cupcakes and Smartie Sorting. The last two were the highlight at the end!! There were lots of Mums and Dads helping out too, and I heard at least two kids say it was the best day of their life!
What cool activities and a neat image to go with it. We wouldn't be doing this in NZ at present - about a quarter of a pumpkin was $2.99 in the vege shop today! Maybe at the end of our summer we could consider these games, even though miles from Halloween.
@julzmaioro The seeds never actually get exposed doing this! @dide There are loads of pumpkins, all grown especially for Halloween. You can go to a Pumpkin patch to buy one, or all the supermarkets are loaded up too. These pumpkins are not good for eating though, they are grown for carving!
