We had a picnic lunch at Peel Forest which is about 150kms south of where we live. Lovely secluded picnic areas and great walks. This is my husband, Richard (on the right) with our very good friend, Bob. We did the "Big Tree" walk, which although short, is quite steep, to get to this enormous Podocarpus totara tree. It is over 3m wide, very, very tall, and said to be 1000+ years old.
