As some of you know, our nursery is under the flight path for Christchurch International Airport. We are about 10kms, as the crow flies, from the runways. So I get to see a lot of interesting planes which are quite low. As I've always had a fascination for planes, it is a bit of a bonus for me. This is the new livery on the Air New Zealand planes, not to be confused with the planes which were customised for the All Blacks and the Rugby World Cup. Played around with the Befunky software on this one.
Fingers crossed that Cyclone Lusi doesn't cause too much drama for us - Christchurch has many areas flooded and damaged due to heavy rain and winds last week - don't need any more problems.
I like the look of the new Air NZ plane - I travel a lot for work (including to NZ) and always think its important to have such lovely looking planes!!
Great capture. There really seems to be so many problems caused by weather these days. Many areas of the UK are also still suffering from the aftermath of the floods and still being under water. Hope the storm doesn't cause damage.
Wishing you safety during the storm.
