@leanne365 - thank you. Yes very intimidating but luckily I have a reasonable zoom on my camera so didn't have to get too close.

ok. I HATE spiders. this thing is so huge on the thumbnail. i dont even dare to open it. OMG. that is crazy. how the heck did you get that close to it... i am very impressed, don't get me wrong. i should have been next to you, it would have be very therapeutic for me.

That's awesome! When I was in Oz and saw a spider, I was the only one not freaking out and was confused as to why everyone else was...turns out that spiders are rather more harmful in Australia :p

@robinwarner - I hate spiders too! Luckily I have an OK zoom in my camera so didn't have to get that close, although much closer than I felt comfortable with. The things we do for our art!!

Very cool capture, Kathy! The colours are beautiful - but it's creeping me out - it looks huge! After seeing that I'm not going to worry about our Canadian dock spiders anymore - they're tame compared to that!

Eeww I saw my fair share of those when I lived in Oz. One up near Cairns, had a leg span as big as a dinner plate - I still shudder when I think of it because my daughter, who was going on 10 at the time, almost walked into the web...
