Wow. Justice Health must have lots of $$. Well done, you!

@jools - Apparently its a NSW Health thing but we never got anything when I was working at the hospital. Last year we got a small insulated portable esky/lunch bag thing and the year before a drink bottle.

Good to see you dropping by on here again.

Thanks. I miss 365.

I assumed it was a Justice Health thing because that's what it says on the mug. We got this year what we get every year - nowt.

I wonder what I'll get if they ever have an International Phone Monkey day.
June 5th, 2011
@brizmako - a pen :-)
June 5th, 2011
@kjarn As long as it's not a telephone handset or a date with one of our "clients"...
June 5th, 2011
@brizmako - a date with a client, now wouldn't that be interesting :)
June 5th, 2011
@kjarn It would end in a 102 with a touch of 301 due to 504 (serious assault, weapon related, mentally ill person - respectively).
June 5th, 2011
@brizmako and then you'd spend time in the PC before going to a POD and then be transferred to the MHSU (police cells, place of detention, mental health screening unit)
June 5th, 2011
@kjarn Must work differently up here, mate. Revolving door MHU's are the norm.
June 5th, 2011
@brizmako - down here there is only one mental health unit inside a jail and that's where I work. We get them sent to us from all over the state.
June 5th, 2011
@kjarn We deliver ours to the nearest hospital MHU ED for assessment, which is usually the weak link in the chain.
June 5th, 2011
@brizmako - down here they would be taken to a mental health hospital if they were just picked up acting mentally ill but if you committed assault with a weapon which is an indictable offence then you go to jail even if you are mentally ill. You would spend a couple of nights in the PC then go to a POD at a prison then get seen by a mental health nurse and if genuinely mentally ill transferred to my unit.

@kjarn I'm sure that's how it would go here, too, but we don't get much feedback by the time it gets to the your-world stage.
