Books, books, books

My latest Read.

Verdict: Not a bad read
Hmmm. Not a bad read - not especially glowing, eh? You get through a lot more books than I do; I seem to spend most of my free time faffing about on the computer.

@jools I've read better but I've also read a lot worse. You'd read as much as me if you were home alone for 24 hours a day.

@kjarn - I reckon I'd still spend more time than I should just faffing about on the computer.

@jools as I do, haven't read a word this weekend. I reckon I could read a book a day if I tossed the computer!

We could all toss the computers...but then who would I talk to...

Hmmm, not a bad read isn't making me run out and buy this book. I usually read at least two books a week, but this week I'm forlorn. Both books I'm reading (one for work, one for pleasure) are slow going. I'm dying for a really good book...Any suggestions?

@lauriehiggins not sure what sort of books you like but I love books by Liz Byrski, Karen Rose, Jodi Picoult, Cathy Kelly, Belinda Alexandra, Martina Cole. Does that help at all?

Well, you have given me a whole bunch of authors to look up! I only know Jodi Picoult, but I swore off her after she killed one kid too many that I cared about in her novels. The novel about the girl born just so her sister could have a bone marrow transplant upset me (and I found it really interesting that Hollywood reversed that ending) but the one about the girl whose bones broke so easily did me in.

I'll have to look that one up. Looks interesting! I'm just starting Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

@emrob I must look that one up, I've never heard of it.
