But not a proper cider to be seen - take it from someone that now lives in the home of cider (Somerset, England) - if it doesn't come in a home filled container straight out of a farm out-building - then it's not the real stuff!

@kjarn - oh, just wanted you to know what super variety is out there.

Take a look at www.dickwillows.com - a cider farm that I use regularly when in Wiltshire (UK) (the cider made from Port Wine of Glastonbury apples is my particular favourite)

What an assortment! Cider is not consumed much in the U.S. except around Halloween.

@styru I had a look at the site, very interesting and I love the name Dick Willow!

Australia just had their annual cider awards and the winner was the UK brand Hennys. They didn't judge my favourite flavoured ones because "they just aren't cider"!

@kjarn - small world that's Mikes company! - used to drink with him in the 80's - he started making cider in a cupboard at his home in the early 90's

my fav stuff !!! wish we had that selection here ,I can get Strongbow ,angry orchard and Hornsbys,and Fox something Pear cider .there are a few more starting to show up .Nice shot !!!!

when young there was this farm near Bedford ,Va, and they pressed their own cider, I was a kid but I believe my Dad would get the hard stuff yummmm!!
