I have no idea about editing but I faffed around with the few tools available in iPhoto to produce this poorly edited photo of my darling youngest granddaughter
She is just darling! I don't think you should edit this too much- extra processing might actually take away from her as the main attraction. About the only thing I might have done before adding the vignette would be to straighten her so she doesn't look tilted- but I don't know if you could do that without losing some of her head. So what you've done here is fine!
@olivetreeann that blue/grey section behind her is a concrete walkway and in the original photo there were lots of legs and equipment below it so I removed them, you can still see a bit over her left shoulder. Cloning them out left a bunch of blurry bits so I added the blur all around to hide that. I did straighten her a bit but yes, couldn’t do it anymore without losing her head.
