I didn't believe it til I had one of my own. My daughter was 4 when Max came along. She was active, played with cars, used her imagination but no particular interest in sticks. Her best friend and neighbor was a boy about her own age and he was always carrying a stick around. When Max was old enough to go to the park and toddle around, he was drawn without hesitation to tree limbs and sticks. He had a pile by our front door where I made him leave them when it was time to go in!
@carole_sandford that’s interesting, my daughters rarely did and my granddaughter isn’t showing any interest either but the boys always seem to have one in their hand
