Some October Reads

From top to bottom:
A general fiction that was OK.
A coming of age story that I was disappointed in.
A general fiction that was all disappointing.
A crime story that I loved.

I also read a thriller on my kindle "Contagion" by Robin Cook with I really enjoyed.
Aren't books great?!!! I love the smell of a new book, the feel of it in my hands, the weight of it in my lap... and no worries if the battery goes dead! Lovely shot, Kathy! You're doing better with your reading than I am at this time in my life.

@marlboromaam I think the same as you about books, I only use a kindle if a book I am after is only available in that format or if I’m travelling. I do read a lot and way more than I should considering all the stuff that doesn’t get done.

@kjarn LOL! No kindle for me at this time. I say that cautiously because you never know when an industry will completely die in this day and age. KEEP ALL your books! Seriously. =)

I was looking at Boy Swallows Universe today. I'm pleased I didn't get it.

@graemestevens I really don't know what all the hype was about but then I am in the small minority.

@aikiuser all Mark Billingham's books are good. This is his latest but is a prequel to his first.

Quite a varied collection. According to a recent news report, book sales have surged this year since the pandemic started.

A mixed month... that's a nice stack, I like how colours from one book are picked out in others!

I read a bit more this month myself. Mark Billingham. Another author I might enjoy. Thanks for the recommendation.
