A thriller that was more miss than hit - way too slow
A psychological thriller which was only ok
A chick lit that was a nice easy read
A supposed psychological suspense novel that was anything but
A crime story that was fast paced and enjoyable
A memoir that was far from enjoyable
Interesting reads.
My list included:
A Morbid Taste for Bones by Ellis Peters - medieval thriller, not THAT extraordinary, but I hear that the next in the series are better, so some more are on the list (I have an omnibus volume waiting patiently on the shelf)
The Design of Everyday Things by Don Norman - a long read (I read it over 2 or 3 months) psychology and business
The Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett - a short nice read
People Like Us by Louise Fein - a captivating story
Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert - behavioural psychology, seriously funny.
Very interesting Kathy. I shall avoid most of these based on your reviews. My September reads were:
1) Shuggie Bain - tough subject but glad I read it.
2) The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane - a lovely childrens book (maybe 8-10 yo).
3) Henโs Teeth - a murder mystery that I didnโt really enjoy.
