Getting closer

Lockdown ends tomorrow as we are getting good numbers vaccinated
Well done NSW. Enjoy your freedom. We are have not seen our family over 2 years i Sydney due to strict borders in WA and now in QLD.

@leestevo these are the national numbers which are pretty good but NSW has done really well, over 90% of people have had one dose and over 70% are double vaxxed. I haven't seen my kids overseas for over 2 years and who knows when that will happen but I get to see my grandkids whole a few streets away tomorrow for the first time in 16 weeks.

Hope the easing of lockdown doesn't mean an increase in cases. I feel Dominic Perrottet is going a bit like a bull in a china shop out of lockdown instead of taking it slowly

Good news

@onewing I dread to think how high the numbers will go, I think it’s inevitable

Vaccinations should make a big difference. Cases may go up but hopefully the big impact will be a reduction in hospital admissions and life threatening cases. Glad for you all, lockdown is hard.

Just reaslised that this is national % - I was going to say I thought we were over 90% for 1st dose...but that's NSW

That's great!

that's wonderful news!

More good progress. I think that fears of increased cases will probably come true, as they did here in the UK, but the vaccination level should keep serious illness and death should stay relatively low. Almost all serious illness here is in people who for whatever reason haven't had the vaccine.

Yeah for you. I'm afraid I'm on a bit of a self-imposed lockdown, going very few places and wearing the mask inside.
