Edward is 12 months old and the cutest little ball of fluff. He is staying at the care centre for some observation before being released back into the wild down in the Grafton NSW area. He is seriously cute and we have to truly hold ourselves back from wanting to pay him lots of attention as we need him to stay a wild animal so he can be released.
I was just amazed at how he would just curl into that typical koala ball on a log rather than in the fork of a branch. They do have lots of forked branches to choose from, but it was honestly like he ran out of energiser battery and just curled up and stopped :)
THANK YOU to everyone who have been enjoying and sending me to the Trending and Popular pages :)
So sweet, he is so soft & would be hard to resist, such a tight little ball of softness. Congrats. for PP & Trending pages. Do koalas "fall" out of trees ??
@pamknowler@photographycrazy@gilbertwood@happysnaps Denise he is so tempting, but his claws are super sharp!
Val they do sometimes fall out, not often, but we do get some in care, usually either young or fairly old. Of course this relies on someone walking about and finding one at the base of a tree, so we can't say for sure how often it happens as an injured koala on the ground is then at the mercy of any predator :(
@ubobohobo@aat3877@beryl@888rachel@salza thanks again all :) Beryl yes that they can be injured if they fall, but I don't believe Edward has taken a tumble in there. He would seem so comfortable but it made me nervous!
Sally he was in the koala hospital up at Currumbin for some time and he is just putting on some more condition so we have all hopes he will be released :)
@cruiser@kchuk@alia_801@oldjosh I know Margaret I was stunned that he could go into a deep sleep and stay balanced! thanks for the all the comments, much appreciated :)
