...makes me think of this... Where my daughter lives, the school campus is covered with huge gum trees. I hear owls at night but can't seem to locate one during the day. I think I can see why that is!

Yes, it's true, I have days where I go around the property three times thinking there are no koalas around, then suddenly I spot one and can't believe I had missed it!
Often they are high up, like 30 - 40 metres and just a few leaves and they are well hidden!

Spotting is a matter of slow, careful checking with much persistence.
Any day I don't find one I'm never confident that there were none out there as I am sure I often miss seeing some!
