It's often said and it's so true as Maxine is demonstrating :) Thank you all for making this place so enjoyable, I love reading the comments and looking at such a range of photography.
@dsp2 I know right! Notice how that long sharp claw is dug in to keep her in place. I would have nightmares, but they just go into the deepest sleeps you wouldn't believe. When dealing with them in care, you have to be careful that you ensure they have woken up. Otherwise, even if you have made noise and they seemed to move a bit, you touch them (if you were going to do a medical treatment on them) and they jump so badly they can then fall off the perch. That's how soundly they really do sleep in these kinds of positions. Amazing critters!
