Mist's joey is spending some time out of the pouch, but is as vulnerable as a new-born infant. You can see an ear as joey's head is in her lap. Caring for a joey high in the trees is a challenge and so at this age catching a glimpse is pretty difficult.

@kchuk they sure do deliver their joey's up high in the trees - on the ground would be more dangerous really. And the joey is the size of a jelly bean, no fur, no ears, blind and just stumpy limbs. It crawls/wriggles up mums belly and into the pouch.
Nature is amazing, one wonders how any of them survive, but they are very fertile and have great rates of success. If we weren't losing habitat at this huge rate the populations would explode!
