Holy Mackeral! The video really demonstrates how high Maxine is in the tree. I think I saw slight movement. So ... has the Joey been born?

@365karly1 thanks karly :) koalas are marsupials - this means they give birth to live young that are extremely undeveloped and the joey crawls up mums stomach and into the pouch. The joey latches on to a teat and continues to develop in the pouch for around 6 months. This pouch I think is around 3 months, so still a while before we will see joey come out. Always happy to answer questions about these unique animals :)
