This was the first joey out of pouch on the property this year. I think it's a boy, and he would have actually been born around September last year as he came out of the pouch around March/April.
Hi mum, Mist, left the property at the end of May which was photographically a disaster!
She returned this week and dumped joey here - it's time to figure out the world on your own!
He is quite stunning and coping really well without mum and I've managed a few nice shots of him, but mostly he is nestled well amongst the leaves and hard to get clear shots.
Anyway, long story but it's wonderful to see him here, though I doubt the colony will accept another male in and he will have to move on at some point.
