Ooh dear !! he looks more like a little hedgehog than a koala .I suppose the dense undercoat is purely waterproof ! What do they do / do they shake themselves like a dog ( although I can not see them doing this up high in the trees !! )
@beryl the do shake, but not the full body shake dogs do, mostly their heads and upper body. then it's drip dry and climb to the top to blow dry the rest of the way :)
@susiemc their coats are very waterproof, they don't care about the weather really, they seem to take no notice of it @jesika2 oh that's very funny, thanks for the giggle!
I always opt for half dry, after being wet I always want to dry off as fast as possible. Great shot. Now that I think about it, think this is my first time seeing a wet koala! :D
@cjphoto thanks Chris - good point as to why you would choose half dry! Wet koalas are pretty common here of course, but I don't always put the photos up here, I should more often maybe :)
