I'm still trying to believe it - somehow Krissy's swabs never made it from the wildlife hospital to the labs in Sydney which is why we weren't getting his results.
Now it's the weekend there is nothing to do about any of it even though you may imagine I'm just a tad frustrated.
However, he is looking fantastic and we decided this morning to cease putting the antibiotic in his eye as it is completely clear clinically.
On Monday we will follow up whether the vet will order new swabs. He has been moved into a large run with 3 other sub adults now so he can move about a fair bit, but I'm fighting to get him back wild and free asap. Let's put it his way - the fact he is in runs, in close contact with other young koalas that do not have chlamydia means we are all as confident as you can be without lab results that he is clean. Well that only makes it more frustrating for me and yes, I've considered a jail break, but of course in truth that is not an option :) (it's a good fantasy however, including the big cover up of all the CCTV cameras without it being known I'm the culprit hehehe) OK watch this space!
How annoying that the system has let you and Krissy down ! - so unfair that he is kept in captivity for all this time especially now his eye is OK ! especially if he is chlamydia free ! Thinking of you at this frustrating time !
