https://youtu.be/W4r9KZSXr8Q video of the actual release - Krissy koala released by Katrina and Kita. What a relief - he weighed in at nearly a full 3kg and this photo is 3 hours after the release, one happily sleeping koala indeed.
I want to really thank everyone here for being so involved in following his journey through this time in care. I will be thrilled to keep you all updated as he settles back into life again. I think I will sleep well tonight too!
Woo Hoo - best news of the week and he doesn't seem to have been traumatised by the experience at all. Thank you for all that you do for these wonderful creatures.
Just watched the video - so wonderful to have him home for Christmas - he looks so contented and happy to be home after his long drawn out ordeal - Happy Christmas to you all ! xx
I've just taken a quick browse through your gallery, and am sensing a theme emerging (ha ha). When I get more time, I'm going to go through the whole gallery - all 1700 plus of it.
Thanks for following me. I'm just starting, and won't actually start posting daily until 2019.
@mwerner Mike thank you for this message. You could sit back on a cold day with a hot drink and browse indeed :) I did see you aren't going to post daily til the new year, but that's only a blink away. It will be lovely to see your work, those bird photos you have already put up are something I've never manage - birds in flight captures fascinate me no end. again welcome, you will love it here, this is definitely my happy place :)
A great job is beautiful finished. Well done. My compliments to you and all the vulenteers made it possible. A lovely pic. to end it, and made a new start.
