First time I have seen this in the wild! Frankie and Summer make actual physical contact and check each other out. A totally amazing display of behaviours and I was madly switching from video to still photos and fascinated.
These two boys are both around 18 months old and as far as I know this is the first time they have physically met. No koalas were injured in the making of this photo I'm very glad to report. It was a peaceful, meet, greet and move apart event.

Fav! I watched the video too (from your Facebook page). I hope Summer and Frankie will have very long and healthy lives! Maybe some day they will be fathers of future koalas in your colony. I think of the koalas in your colony as individuals, and it’s amazing to see them together like this!
