time for some perspective

I often show shots like this but zoomed in and we say 'wow how do they balance'. I really liked that I had a really clear view to her here to show you that wen koalas just balance and sleep on a thin branch, they really are doing exactly that. Thanks Matilda.
Great shot Katrina! It really does show-off the balancing act!

What an amazing balancing act, hard to believe they can sleep like this! I take it they would not be found like this on an extremely windy day ;-)

Do they ever literally drop off when they nod off?? She looks so vulnerable, but if no flying predators she's safe?!

Fab pic

Great composition, I like the leaves around the outside of the frame

It looks very precarious.

That really does put it into perspective.
March 21st, 2021
Wow, great capture. Don't fall little koala.
March 21st, 2021
Wow! She really is out there. I think in a lot of the previous pictures they look like they are balancing on a thin branch but have other branches within reach to grab onto if the main branch, or their balance, lets them down, but here, she doesn’t seem to have an option B if something goes wrong.

This put the koala so in perspective. Unbelievable how they can balance themselves. Also interesting shot qua size, they look tiny in that huge tree.
March 21st, 2021
Wow. Clever Matilda to manage such a feat!
March 21st, 2021
Neat capture and composition
March 21st, 2021
nice change from the close up perspective. I like that the koala is almost centered and the branch dissects the frame. well done!
March 21st, 2021
Definitely gives good perspective.
March 21st, 2021
@dutchothotmailcom thanks - I should add the tree is about 15 m tall in total, and Matilda weighs around 5kg. I'm so glad everyone enjoyed the perspective shot, I wonder if it also obvious the sky is complete cloud and it is actually lightly raining as i took this 😊
