Aha, if I had the dachshunds with me I would have spotted it after they stopped under the tree and stared into the foliage " Mum, Mum there is a koala in that tree ". :)))
@hermann I have to laugh Sally as you are correct on the one hand, but on the other hand what isn't seen in this shot is that these trees are on either side of a gully that is really hard to walk around. Trying to imagine little dachshund legs getting through the tall grass and gullies gave me a lovely morning giggle :) They would have smelt her from a distance of course!
@koalagardens Where there's a will there is always a way with these courageous little chaps. They NEVER go anywhere without a lead and our large garden is securely fenced. The saying is "a loose dachshund is a lost dachshund". :)))
@hermann oh no Sally now I'm having a giggle imagining you being dragged down the gully to the base of that tree. Never underestimate the will of a dog no matter their size! Dachshunds have amazing noses, so that is a wise saying. I also like the saying - dogs see the whole world through their nose :)
