I see my swamp wallaby nearly every day but don't often get a photo as usually I see a bobbing rump and tail disappearing.
These are unique to all the other macropods we have in Australia and usually live alone rather than in groups. I have no idea if this is a male or female so in my head I just use the name swampy - yeah not very imaginative at all eh!

@oldjosh @gilbertwood @pamknowler @happysnaps definitely 'alert' to me :) I had to be very careful and still after turning the bike off, but still those ears were moving back and forth showing clearly that the wallaby was a little stressed and trying to figure out what and if I was a problem. Once I snapped a few I very carefully and slowly moved off without looking back (hard as you want to look back!!!)
