I find selective focus in macro photography rather fascinating and love how the result can be quite different. This time the focus is very much on the centre achene and so the ones around the edge are slightly blurred.

@ludwigsdiana I'm not sure what post focus is? I have done these with my f2.8 macro lens, and simply moving about to choose which part of the flower to focus on. the 2.8 allows me to do far more than I can with getting close and selecting the focal point than the telephoto lens as it doesn't get lower than f4. It's amazing the difference that number can make!
