I think this may be the same snake as yesterday, but this was days later.
It started with me hearing a frog yelling (yep they are loud too), and I looked outside my office door to find this snake sneaking along the lattice. I still don't know where the frog was, probably in the gutters, but it knew!
This round went to the frog as the snake didn't like me being aware of it hunting and decided to leave.
I guess having a number of frogs around your house will mean that you are in an environ that will attract their natural predators. Too bad for the little frogs but great photo ops for you.
@gardencat they belong together in the same ecosystem - healthy numbers of high end predators means healthy populations of their prey species. so it's bad for individual frogs (and you know I love the frogs so much), but they do go together, just like all the birds here that prey on the frogs. 'balance, the way of nature' is how I see it 😊
