this green tree snake is down in the conservation area rather than at the house, though that nesting box was supposed to be for a vulnerable bird species, these snakes breed in here each winter. we had a bit of a cold snap for a few days, at least this one (or this could be two) was back again.
@brigette I don't know all the snakes by sight, but this is without a doubt a green tree snake and is a python, not a venomous snake. I get venomous snakes here too, but I don't tend to stop and take photos, as they tend to see me and flee very fast (snakes are very shy of humans in the bush)
@swchappell you get used to seeing snakes, especially where you expect to, when you see them frequently for years on end 😊 but it still gives you a start when you see one where you don't expect 😂
