I wanted to learn about Focus Stacking (combining multiple images to get a greater DOF), but after much searching, concluded neither Lightroom 4 nor Elements 10 have focus stacking capabilities..? I downloaded a free trial of Helicon Focus and was able to get some success even with my handheld macro shots. I'll have to try again with my tripod...
Nice pov! I know nothing about focus stacking but it sounds very interesting....although perhaps a bit of work? Elements 10 is pretty powerful. How about running it thru a panoramic merge in Elements. It would place the seed in the same place in all the photos.
@cortens - I'll look at panoramic merge - haven't used that before. The stacking was super easy once I found the Helicon software. Just import the photos then hit the render button. Even I can handle that. :)
