Gifts from Grandma

I got these antique cameras from Grandma. The one on the left is a Pony Premo No. 1, manufactured by Kodak starting in 1903, so pretty old! It took my awhile to figure out how to open it up today, but it looks to be in great condition The research I did said it sold for around $12 US - that would have been a bundle!

The one in the middle is a Spartaflex camera manufactured by the Spartus Camera Corp circa around 1940.

The one with the funky art deco face on the right is a Kodak Six-20 Brownie Junior. I especially love this one because Grandma told me it was a gift for her sixteenth birthday from her boyfriend of the time. My research says it retailed for $2.25 and was introduced in 1934, which makes sense as she was born in 1918 and would have turned sixteen that year. So fun to think of Grandma as sweet sixteen. She just celebrated her 96th birthday last week!

I'm exploring Still Life Photography for my Get Pushed Challenge from Rachel this week. I am not usually one to set up shots - this is way outside my comfort zone - but I am finding new appreciation for this style!

(as always, better on black if you have a moment)
@roseolivia ~ Rachel, I'm more proud of this effort. Critique welcome!

Love these cameras, and your setup!! What is even more impressive is that your grandma held on to that Brownie camera for 80 years!! Most people would have tossed them by now, so these are incredible treasures!!
