Snow Globe by kph129

Snow Globe

I thought that I'd take advantage of the cold cold day (-20 C) to try to capture some images of frozen bubbles... much harder than it seems like it should be! Most bubbles didn't land intact, and those that did either deflated quickly, rolled along the snow in the breeze, or found a very un-photogenic shadow region to land. This bubble was actually quite tiny - about the size of the tip of my pinky finger.

For Get Pushed, Rachel asked for a 'Still Life'.
@roseolivia ~ A final try for the challenge.

Woah! This is awesome. A tiny bubble is even cooler, I think. Allows you to see some detail in the snow crystals.

Beautiful! I ended up with the same problems last year when I tried this, along with some frosbit fingers! I want to try again this year, I need a cold weekend day when I don't have to work.
