Digging In

"As a bee gathering nectar does not harm or disturb the color & fragrance of the flower; so do the wise move through the world."

--Gautama Buddha--This bee was so still for so long we thought it was dead... until it began digging in further. Then another bee came and joined in on the fun. The first bee appeared to get drunk on the nectar and came sliding out... slipping onto a leaf below and then it flew off only to return to the same flower moments later. It was interesting to watch.
I do enjoy just watching bees do their thing

Great closeup of bee and flower. Nice focus. Perhaps the bee had gorged itself on nectar and fell asleep!

The bee looks so cute.
The flower is just perfect with a lot of details!!! I can't get the red flower looking normal, usually it's a red blob.

@koalagardens bees are super interesting... before I began photographing them I was afraid of them... now I'm not.

@k9photo @wakelys I believe you are right... a drunk bee... who'd of thought!

@tonygig thanks Tony... most appreciated.

@valerina I have trouble with getting red flowers to look good... I usually don't succeed... this was more of a peachy-pink color and was really pretty. Thanks for your comment!

@milaniet @pdulis @fayefaye @marlboromaam @taffy @dutchothotmailcom @momamo @pusspup @sangwann @merrelyn @thewatersphotos @craftymeg @haskar @bubblequeen thanks so much for your comments and fav's... Esther said he has to dig deep... I guess that is because it is such a large flower and the good stuff must be in the middle... it was fun to watch the bees work the flower.
