As I was eating some yummy apple pecan pancakes yesterday morning... trying to get the last of the syrup out of the bottle... I noticed some interesting bubbles of syrup forming on the cap... which led to this picture. I had to devise a holder for the syrup bottle and that was a plastic gallon jug with the top and two sides cut out... the bottom of the jug held the syrup flow... I have to say that it was a sticky shoot. I ended up with syrup on me and on the lens barrel... yet it was a fun shoot.
@monikozi Thanks so much... I had to work for this one!
@pdulis Thanks Peter... it was a tasty assignment!
@onewing Thanks Babs... these moments of inspiration can be fleeting... glad to get a usable shot from this!
@jb030958 Jennie... the pancakes were amazing... made with North Georgia Honey Crisp apples... so good!
@dutchothotmailcom Esther... you are so right... I used some tin snips to cut the top off the gallon jug (the holder for the syrup bottle) but then remembered my tiny cutoff saw... a small power tool... that made quick work of the two sides of the bottle. It was a good excuse to use this power tool... note to self... always use the guard... I used it without and all those tiny plastic particles sting when they hit you... live & learn... that’s what it is all about!
@marlboromaam Thanks Maggie... you are so kind... it sure was challenging but so much fun. I’m working in the yard today... more tilling for grass seed.. so I wanted to get my shot posted early.
"Necessity is the mother of invention." I like your choice of making this b&w. Your funny description of your shoot sounds like something that would happen to me. Syrup on the lens part! FAV!

@skipt07 Skip... you are so right and the syrup tasted pretty good too!
@k9photo Kate... it could be... but most likely it had to do with placing my light source under the subject!

I'm wondering what else to try streaming out of the cap.
