What gorgeous rock formations we saw on our hike to Ernst Tenaja Canyon in Big Bend National Park. The canyon is located about 5 miles down Old Ore Road from the southern end of the park. If I get a chance to return to Big Bend this spot will be at the top of my list to revisit.
Beautiful we did not do this hike but it looks like it was very nice. We did one called the Window. It was fun but much farther hike than they said it was.
@photograndma My first BB picture was taken at the overlook for the window trail that began at the Chisos basin visitors center. We never hiked that trail but I thin it was 5-6 mikes each way. The hike there Ernst Tenaja was fairly short ... very beautiful place. I loved the layers of rock.
