The many sides of my Inukshuk by kwind

The many sides of my Inukshuk

I built a rather pathetic inukshuk today as we played at the beach for the last time this summer...school and work starts tomorrow. Here's my creation from a few different angles.

Here's some info on inukshuks... http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/featured/inuksuk

Here's a video about them...

Interesting concept KWind!! I had to look up the term, inukshuk, to see what it is. I found it was to be the shape of a man, but I couldn't find the meaning of it was.

@ljm @skipt07 I added a couple of links with info on inukshuks, if you're interested. They are a Canadian thing!

Love this collage. The lighting on all of them is really great. My major prof in grad school was a canuck and taught me all about inukshuks!

Nice collage - great study of your creations!

Great collage! I particularly like the lower right image (straight down) but all three need to be present to fully grasp what it is. I love learning about the inukshuks, too! first time I've ever heard of it.

I see someone had fun today!! LOL....just fabulous! And so incredibly creative! LOVE!!

I just looked inukshuk up online. Most of the others I saw were made of squarish-rectangular rocks. Yours is very uniqe and was probably VERY hard to keep balanced with the roundish rocks! Great job on the construction and hope for light winds ;-)

@jimbob1955 true inukshuks are built in northern Canada where the rocks are much different. It was tricky today with the rounded ones I was using. It was windy too. If you look close you can see how the top rock blew off in two of the shots.

once again I have learned something on 365! I have seen these before, but always thought they had Asian origin...really surprised to see they are Canadian! these are really nice shots of yours!

Very well composed. I didn't know that they had a name, I thought it was just ' a pile of stones'. Thanks for the info.
