I'm a day late in posting this because I was busy making memories with 30 swim club kids when this was taken. We invited three swim groups down to the property for an overnight campout. 30 of them (aged 8-14) slept in tents. When they arrived it was overcast and foggy but the sun slowly made it's way out. They played soccer, kick the can, capture the Flag, built rock sculptures, swam, kayaked, looked for crabs, danced, ate and slept (but only a little). Some were still wandering around at 3am. The whole gang was wide awake by 6:45am. So, here's a shot of just some of the fun. I had better ones but I thought I should maintain their privacy and not show too many faces. I'm going to have a nap now so my commenting today will be limited.
Thanks for your comments on my jeans. I loved the ones that thought my legs looked long. If only you really knew me... I'm barely 5' 2 1/2" tall!!
Love this. What wonderful memories you are making for this incredible group of kids. I'm impressed you can still get into the water w/out freezing!!! You are amazing!!!
i like the shot, but this time its a fav for the story. i think this project is about getting out there in the world and experiencing it. sometimes u document it, sometimes u dont. hope u had a lovely time :)
Oh wow, you are an amazing mom. Definitely you were creating memories for all those kids. I had noticed that you were "missing in action". Hope you had a good nap.
@bardejov Funny, I wasn't nervous at all. There were four adults chaperoning during the water activities. They are all swim club kids who swim like fish!!
You must have been exhausted, 30 kids, oh boy! On Sat I had a bunch of 16 year old girls getting ready for the homecoming dance, but yours tops it for sure :)
