My husband walking the beam that will be our deck at some point! I don't know how he does it!! This is about 10 feet up but he does the same thing on four storey apartments that he frames around the country. He wears a safety strap them and there's scaffolding as well. Thank goodness!!
Omg! This makes me a bit dizzy! When my husband and I framed our house, he told me I could walk the walls like this...I was like "yeah, I was a gymnast once upon a time, did beam, I can do it. " so I edged out on the top of the wall, on that tiny 2 by 4 that is on the top of the framed up wall. I got FROZEN in fear, went all dizzy, and weak in the knees. They are 10 foot high basement walls, and concrete slab below. I started yelling for him to walk out and get me, but he kept saying it was not a big deal..that if I fell, just to sit down or grab the top of the wall....oh my! It got ugly! He finally walked out, took my hand, and inched me back to safety! never again!
I just got a bit woozy just looking at this. I don't have a fear of heights, but I DO have a fear of falling off things. NO WAY I could stand up there, omg!
What a brave fella!! :) Love the POV and what lovely blue skies! :) You must be getting so excited to see all the house stuff happening so quickly :) yay!
@espyetta That's quite the story. I can only imagine your feelings! I'm glad you got off the wall okay! Thanks for shortlisting my tool bench shot. I'm thrilled to have won the challenge... my first ever!
great pov! The funny thing is, even though I've done the Rip Cord at Cedar Point and Xtreme Skyflyer at Kings Island, I'm terrified of heights.... I was able to do those trill rides because I felt secure... but tell me to climb a ladder and I need a xanax or something LOL
@jsw0109 I'm a bit the same way, Jeff. I've been on the Peak to Peak Gondola at Whistler, Ziplined and did an obstacle course in the trees which was 40' up in spots but walking on a 2x6 one storey up is terrifying!
Lol - just kidding - very brave man. And great POV in this shot.
