Wow... what a day we had!! The weather was stunning, the water flat and we spent the afternoon/evening with friends having a wiener roast on the beach. This was taken earlier in the day when we christened our new paddle board. I keep pinching myself that we are going to live here! I just can't get over the beauty of the nature around us!! I know so many of you comment on it too. Please know that we do NOT take it for granted! The downside... I had no computer or commenting time. Sorry, family and fun won out today! I'll get caught up soon.
It does seem unbelievable that the weather is that warm, especially with the snow capped mountains in the background. Keep pinching yourself, then you know it's not being taken for granted, but enjoy every minute.
Wow, that looks amazing! It seems so incongruous to be paddle boarding with snow capped mountains in the distance :) I was going to ask where you live too @Kwind, for some reason I thought New zealand!
Is it really that warm to be out there in swimming trunks? You must be looking at all the mountains on the mainland here. We know people who live at Powel River!
@maggiemae It was at least 24 degrees today with little wind. The neighbour kids actually went swimming!! We can see Powell River in the distance...probably an hour boat ride away.

It was a fabulous weekend, wasn't it! I actually even got burnt (oops). This is a great shot, love the mountains in the background. The paddle board looks like fun, I've never tried one before!
@taffy How wonderful! I visited there on the first vacation trip my husband and I ever took together, back in 1980. I loved it then and your photos bring back wonderful memories. Lucky you to live there!
