My new living room throw cushions... green and textured. The room is going to have light grey walls, polished concrete floors, white trim with this slightly radioactive granny smith apple green accents.
They started boarding the house today. They tell me it will take 2.5 weeks to have to mudded, sanded and the ceilings painted. Time to finalize my paint colours!!
Your colours are the same as ours, besides the flooring as we have blackbutt flooring. Great choice. We even have celery coloured curtains. Love the textures and dof in this shot.
The exciting bit now & you can put your own stamp on it! Amazing look & texture of this cushion ...you could have gone on the sea shore & picked up some sea weed , just perfect for a house on the seashore!!
Great textures, looks pretty abstract., wouldn´t have guessed this to be a pillow. That green tone is so soft and cosy. Waiting to see the pictures of the whole room
I wouldn't have known this wasn't some sort of plant life if I hadn't read the description. Love the vibrant natural colours you've gone with for your decor:)
@kjarn Boarded means they just put the white drywall board up. One crew does that then the mudders and sanders come in. They apply a white "mud" like compound to the joints and seams of the board and over all the screw holes they used to attach the board . It has to dry, then they sand it and apply more mud and sand again. Event the walls will be completely smooth. It might be called plastering in Australia. Hope that makes sense.
@kjarn Yes. Drywalling gives the inside shape. Up until a couple of days ago I could see through the studs from end to end if the house but now I can't. I have walls made of drywall. The crew is just making them pretty now with the mud. Google "drywall images" and you'll see what I mean.
I could have sworn this was a shot of some foliage! I love the green. It'll look fab as an accent to your décor. I must admit I'm a bit of a cushion fiend. When I'm out shopping with hubby he has to steer me away from them as we have so many in the house :o) xx
Boarded, mudded, sanded - what does that all mean?
