Rainbow Heart by kwind

Rainbow Heart

I turned my crayon rainbow from yesterday into this... those who follow know I have a thing for hearts! Many people commented on how long it must have taken to make the crayon shavings but It really didn't take long at all. I only used about a 1/4 of a crayon of each colour. Maybe 15 minutes total.
Thanks for all your comments and fav's!!
LOVE the colors!! And the heart!!

January 16th, 2014
Well done!! And, extra bonus points for recycling the used crayon shavings! Love it! I think we need one more where the shavings are tumbled together before they are tossed....let's see what comes out of that!
January 16th, 2014
@panthora Funny that you should suggest that because I did do such a shot but the colours were just too messed up and it wasn't appealing at all. I folded the paper around the shaving and have disposed of them!

It would be nice if you could stick them into the oven just long enough to fuse them together, but allow them to not melt into a glob. You are very artistic!
January 17th, 2014
Instant fav!
January 17th, 2014
this is happy! and I love your idea of shaving crayons. That might be a good activity to keep a very mischievous 3 year old busy.
January 17th, 2014
@katiebrenkert If you try it with your son, be sure to put a cheap disposable tablecloth underneath. It's rather messy!
January 17th, 2014
@skipt07 I wish I'd thought of that, Skip! I could have built it on parchment paper and then put it in the oven...maybe next time!
January 17th, 2014
